Our Founder's Story

Alfred’s journey began in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he learned about love from his devout Christian family. He worked as a truck driver for a humanitarian group until a violent attack forced his family to flee to Burundi, living in a refugee camp for 18 years before reaching the United States in 2018. His experience as a refugee stayed with him, fueling his empathy for others facing similar hardships.

The eruption of the Nyamulagira volcano deeply affected Alfred, especially after losing a family member in the tragedy. Witnessing the urgent need for help, he and his wife provided aid with whatever resources they had, including clothes, blankets, food, and medicine. However, recognizing that their efforts were a drop in the ocean of needs, particularly for orphans, they resolved to do more.

Driven by compassion, they founded Global Give Hope, aiming to assist a larger number of people globally. Their mission expanded into making a significant impact on many lives. One of the verses guiding their organization is Isaiah 58:10, emphasizing the importance of helping the hungry and oppressed, promising that their efforts will bring light into darkness.
